Hurricane Katrina: Blog for Relief Day Thursday, September 1 Join the cause to get your readers to donate to a charity, or to lend a helping hand. Even with gas prices rising and other hardships around the country, we still see the local Starbucks packed between 7-10am. If everyone donates $5, less than 2 cups of Latte, lives, neighborhoods, towns, and cities can be rebuilt. We are gathering some statistics for our posts tomorrow about aid and numbers of people affected.
Now fellow bloggers spread the word via YOUR medium.
Could somebody set up a website that people could sign up to sponsor or foster a family until they can get home? If you could keep one or two people in your home or if you can afford to put a family up in a motel until they can go home. This is one way to know for sure that your donation is going directly to help somebody.
