I read the novel Broken Trail by Alan Geoffrion, who is also the screenwriter of the movie airing this weekend. The story is great and highly recommend picking up a copy. If you like historical fiction, this story is unique, and revolves around just a few key characters - whom I assume are played by Duvall and Thomas Haden Church - I'll be tuning in!
